| The I.L.A. Safety Program was established to insure our membership have safe working conditions. The Safety Department constantly monitors our work area and practices. Our membership is encouraged to contact us with any questions regarding safety. SAFETY IS PRIORITY ONE. | The I.L.A. Employee Assistance Program has been designed to assist all our members, retirees and dependents, on a strictly confidential basis, with any mental health, behavioral health or chemical dependency issues that can negatively affect their lives. The E.A.P. Director acts, in strictest confidence, as a liaison to assist the individual through this process. |

Attention Waterfront Workers:
This is to remind you that under the Federal Law and under the Master Contract you are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Failure to wear Safety equipment while at work presents Danger to your fellow workers.

Also:
- Safety Shoes (steel toe when potential for being hit by falling objects exists)
- Safety Harness when working aloft on containers
- All other protective equipment required by your employer at all times on all waterfront facilities and on vessels in this port.
- The use of cellular telephones and headphone radios while on the job is strictly forbidden.
